I've lived and worked, along with my family, on the East Coast all my life apart from a 10 year "OE" stint in Europe which included living and working in the United Kingdom, Spain/ Gibraltar, and France. I have fond memories of all the interesting places and special people I met during my travels overseas that I will treasure for the rest of my life but home is in Gisborne, a very special place!
In Gisborne the climate is sunny and mild all year round, the uncrowded beaches and surf breaks are unbelievable, the fishing and sailing condition perfection and the friendly relaxed people and lifestyle are incomparable to anything I've seen or experienced during my travels. I love it on the East Coast and so will everyone who visits this special place!
I've worked for Gary Bates (LMVD) Ltd for 8 years and have enjoyed the reassurance this small locally owned and long established company has given me. I have been involved in the rental car industry for twelve years, mostly in Europe, and for the last 3 years I have managed this "one man" rental operation where I really enjoy working with my customers to provide them with a great rental experience! I feel my world travels and extensive industry experience help me understand how to give my customers accurate information and expert advice on local attractions.
I demand that my rental vehicles are meticulously cleaned and maintained with all servicing and mechanical checks carried out by our own Gary Bates Ltd franchised service centre. This gives my customers the reassurance they have a safe, reliable and road worthy vehicle that will guarantee a pleasurable car hire experience!
I am passionate about Gisborne and the East Coast of New Zealand! We have an unbelievably clean and incomparable natural environment surrounding us and I hope that I can share part of that passion and enjoyment with my customers who would like to explore this exceptionally magical place I call "HOME"!
